Hasom Moon
Hasom is a first-year PhD student in the Integrative Neuroscience program at Stony Brook University. She completed her BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology at Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea. Her research focuses on the neural mechanisms of cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Specifically, she pursues exploring how neuropathologies contribute to cognitive impairment and modeling individual differences in cognitive aging trajectories. She is also interested in socioeconomic factors and ultimately hopes to contribute to mitigating potential cognitive health disparities. In her free time, Hasom enjoys going for a walk, trying new cafes and places, knitting, and watching movies.
